Turn Cloudbeds Reservations Into WiFi Logins
Spotipo connects to Cloudbeds through the Cloudbeds API, so your captive portal can check a guest's booking before granting access. Guests type the room number and the last name on the reservation, and they are online in seconds. Nobody else gets on.
How It Works
Room number and last name login. Guests enter the room number and the last name on the booking, and Spotipo validates both against your Cloudbeds property in real time.
Active reservations only. Anyone without a live booking is refused access, which keeps neighbours and passers by off your guest network.
No vouchers to hand out. Your front desk stops printing and distributing WiFi codes, because the reservation itself is the credential.
Read only access. Spotipo requests read scopes for Room, Reservation and Guest, so nothing in your Cloudbeds property is ever modified.
Works with your existing hardware. Spotipo runs on top of the access points you already have, including UniFi, Meraki, MikroTik, Ruckus, Aruba and more than 30 other brands.
Branded splash pages. The PMS login sits on a splash page designed with your property's colours, logo and domain.
1. Register a Cloudbeds App
In Cloudbeds, open Apps and Marketplace from the account menu and create new API credentials with the type set to Guest WiFi.
2. Create an API Key
Generate an API key with read scopes for Room, Reservation and Guest, choose the property you want to use with Spotipo, and store the key safely because it is shown only once.
3. Find Your Property ID
Open the Reservations tab for that property and copy the number from the URL, which is your property ID.
4. Enable PMS Login in Spotipo
Go to Splashpage and then Settings, enable PMS login, then add your API key and property ID under Settings and PMS Login. A status indicator confirms the connection.
