How It Works
Spotipo integrates with Ruckus SmartZone controllers through Hotspot (WISPr) authentication and RADIUS, delivering enterprise-grade captive portal capabilities for high-density WiFi deployments.

RADIUS authentication system. Configure Spotipo as authentication and accounting server with controller-proxy mode for centralized guest access control.
Walled garden configuration. Domain-based whitelist ensures uninterrupted access to authentication infrastructure and optional payment processing services.
MAC address standardization. Consistent MAC format (aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff) ensures compatibility with Spotipo's device tracking and session management across all access points.
Multi-WLAN support. Deploy different captive portal configurations across multiple WLANs for varied access policies and guest experiences.
1. Create SmartZone Site
Generate your Ruckus SmartZone configuration in Spotipo, receiving RADIUS credentials, Location ID, and portal URLs automatically.
2. Configure Hotspot WLAN
Create new WLAN with Hotspot (WISPr) authentication method, configuring portal settings with Spotipo-generated URLs and Location ID.
3. Set Up RADIUS Servers
Configure authentication and accounting servers with controller proxy mode, adding Spotipo primary and secondary server details with shared secrets.
4. Disable MAC Encryption
Access SmartZone CLI and execute "no encrypt-mac-ip" command to ensure proper MAC address handling for authentication.
