How It Works

Spotipo integrates with Ruijie routers and gateways through external RADIUS authentication, delivering enterprise-grade captive portal capabilities for hospitality, retail, and education sectors.

Gateway-based architecture required. Spotipo works exclusively with Ruijie routers and gateways - access point-only configurations are not supported for external portal authentication.

VLAN isolation support. Create dedicated guest networks with complete network segregation, maintaining security while providing convenient WiFi access to visitors.

External authentication protocol. Leverages WISPr protocol with RADIUS authentication for secure, scalable guest access management across single or multiple locations.

QoS bandwidth management. Built-in Quality of Service controls enable speed limits and bandwidth allocation per user or access tier for optimized network performance.

Cloud-managed configuration. Configure and monitor your Ruijie captive portal remotely through Spotipo's dashboard or directly via Ruijie's eWeb tunnel interface.

Enterprise security standards. PAP encryption with RADIUS accounting ensures secure credential transmission and detailed usage tracking for compliance requirements.

1. Create VLAN Network

Configure a dedicated guest network VLAN in your Ruijie gateway for isolated, secure guest WiFi access separate from internal networks.

2. Configure External Portal

Set up Ruijie's external captive portal with WISPr protocol, creating RADIUS server groups using Spotipo-generated authentication credentials.

3. Configure Allow List

Add essential service domains to your Ruijie allow list including Spotipo infrastructure, Stripe payment processing, and social authentication platforms.

4. Enable QoS Controls

Activate Quality of Service settings and disable Client Escape to ensure speed limits work properly and prevent authentication bypass attempts.
